Fees and voluntary contributions

The Department for Education (DfE) maintains a commitment to provide 15 weekly hours of free nursery education for all three and four year olds, and we are registered to receive a Nursery Education Grant (NEG) from Haringey council in this respect for all eligible children.  Children are eligible for the grant at the beginning of the term following their third birthday, the cut-off dates for each term are detailed below:

Autumn Term

31st August

Spring Term

31st December

Summer Term

31st March

For children who are under three years old or who are not eligible for the NEG because their birthday lies within the term (i.e. after the cut-off dates above), the fees are £22 per session for  term 1 2015/16. Fees are likely to be revised in January.

345 is a registered charity, and the preschools are managed by a committee of parent volunteers.  The overall operation of each preschool depends on the input and generosity of all parents and money raised is used for play materials, premise enhancements and, where required, additional staffing.  As a charity we do not make a surplus each year but need to ensure all costs are covered.  This is a balancing act on a year-by-year basis, and voluntary contributions are one way we achieve this, and for ease, we calculate the contribution per person at £5.00 per session.

Fees are payable termly in advance. Fees must still be paid if children are absent without notice for a short period of time.  For your child to keep her/his place at the preschool, you must pay the fees or we must receive nursery education funding for your child.  If fee payment is a problem, please consult the preschool manager in complete confidence about paying by instalments.
